Geological Sciences Consultancy Company: Mineral Exploration and Research in Tanzania

Abiel Kyamanywa, aged 39, is a geologist holding the degree of B.Sc. (Hons) in Geology of the University of Dar es Salaam. He has approximately 15 years of work experience, primarily in the area of mineral exploration in Africa. He has worked on various exploration and development projects as well as active mining operations on variety of commodities including gold, gemstones, diamonds and base metal. He spent majority of his early career with Ashanti Goldfields and AngloGold Ashanti managing gold exploration projects in additional to being in charge of regional target generation. He also spent time working at Geita Gold Mine while on job training as a geologist. He discovered gold hosting lithostructures located in the previously unknown Igunda-Luwahika Greenstone Sub-Terrane located in the Lake Victoria Greenstone Belt.  
He is among the founding directors of Geological Sciences Consultancy Company Limited (GeSCO) and is currently Mineral Exploration Director.
